Etnomatematika: Eksplorasi kesenian rebana bagi santri Raudlatul Ulum 2

Culture-based learning is about authentic situations that students can directly access in their lives as the surrounding community, thus integrating culture into learning mathematics. It is hoped that it can help to understand the relationship between culture and mathematics, thereby increasing the quality of students' and society's mathematical knowledge to become more accurate and accessible and to take advantage of certain cultures that exist in community groups, including thinking, working, acting and speaking, especially those related to Mathematics. This study aimed to discover the geometric concept contained in the tambourine art of the Raudlatul Ulum 2 Islamic boarding school students. The subjects of this study were the Raudlatul Ulum 2 Islamic boarding school students. The geometric concept found in tambourine art is an ethnomathematics study that links geometric ideas to the real-world context. This research uses a qualitative descriptive research type, which means the researcher wants to dig in depth about the causes and effects or factors that influence certain events. Researchers want to describe and describe in depth the factors that influence the events that occur through data collection techniques with interviews, documentation, and literaturestudies. The results showed that the Rebana art is a tradition taught at the Raudlatul Ulum Islamic Boarding School 2. The geometrical concepts in the Rebana art are lines, angles, flat shapes, length, width, and height which in this study focused on three-dimensional geometry material.
